Competition Terms and Conditions

These terms and conditions regulate the promotional competition (hereinafter the “Competition”) offered by Annique Rooibos Proprietary Limited (“Annique Rooibos”). Issue of the Competition is on the terms and conditions set out below, and participation herein shall be deemed acceptance by you of these terms and conditions.

Eligibility:

Entrants must be 18 years or older.
The Competition will only apply to first time customers registering on and purchasing through the Annique Rooibos online store for the first time.
The Competition is exclusive to permanent residents of the Republic of South Africa who have a valid South African passport and other travel documents.
Directors, employees, agents and existing customers and consultants of Annique Rooibos and each member of the group of companies of which Annique Rooibos forms part, as well as their immediate family members are not eligible and shall be disqualified form participation in the Competition.

How to Enter:

To enter, participants must make a purchase of Annique Rooibos products to the value of R600 or more per purchase (excluding any delivery fees) through the Annique Rooibos online store at www.annique.com to qualify for an entry. Multiple entries are allowed for eligible entrants and each qualifying purchase of R600 or more per purchase (excluding delivery fees) will count as an additional entry for such a participant.
Notwithstanding the above, a participant acknowledges that all purchases are subject to the availability of product stock and Annique Rooibos can not be held responsible or liable for any stock shortages during the Competition period.

Competition Period:

The Competition commences on 14 May 2025 and ends at midnight on 10 June 2025 (“Competition Period”). Any entries received after this date and time will not be considered.

Prize:

The prize is a travel package valued at up to R150,000 (which includes all costs, agent fees and the like) (the “Budget”) to be booked through Travkor (Pty) Ltd (“Travkor”).

This prize is non-transferable, non-refundable, and cannot be exchanged for cash or other products.
The prize cannot be redeemed for cash save as set out below.

Draw and Winner Selection:

The winner will be selected by a random draw held on 16 June 2025 at the Annique Rooibos Home Office. Two additional back-up prize winners will be drawn in sequence in case the winner is not eligible or does not accept the prize.
The winner will be announced on 16 June 2025 via email and through a phone call.

Notification and Prize Claim:

All participants shall be solely responsible for ensuring that their correct details are provided to Annique Rooibos, and Annique Rooibos shall in no way be responsible or liable in the event that a prize winner provides Annique Rooibos with incorrect or inaccurate details and such prize winner shall have no claim against Annique Rooibos in such an event.
The winner will be contacted directly by using the provided contact details. The winner must respond within 48 hours to claim their prize. Failure to respond within this time frame will result in forfeiture, and the next participant that was drawn will be contacted. The terms and conditions will apply to the next participant whose name was drawn. Any winner that has forfeited the prize shall have no claim of whatsoever nature against Annique Rooibos.
Once an eligible winner has been contacted and has accepted the price, the winner’s name will be announced to the public, all of Annique Rooibos’ social media channels and platforms and other Annique Rooibos’ marketing material.
The prize winner will be provided with the instructions to claim the prize by no later than 31 December 2025. The winner will be put into contact with Travkor who will assist the winner to select a trip that falls within the Budget. The winner will be required to adhere to Travkor’s terms and conditions, policies and reasonable instructions and requests.

Prize Redemption:

The prize is redeemable until 31 December 2025. Once redeemed, the trip cannot be postponed.
The trip must be exclusively planned and booked through Travkor , the duly mandated and appointed travel agency. The total Budget (limited to R150 000) for the trip will be paid by Annique Rooibos directly to Travkor (to cover the winner’s travel package, other costs, agent’s commission and travel insurance). The winner is responsible for any additional expenses, including but not limited to travel documents and extra activities not covered by the travel package or which falls outside the Budget.
If the winner selects a trip with the total costs being less than the budgeted R150 000, the balance of the budget up to a maximum of R30 000 will be paid directly to the winner 2 weeks prior to the travelling date as spending money and to assist with travel document costs.
Once the winner’s trip is booked, the winner will receive electronic confirmations of the trip from Travkor. It is the winner’s responsibility to ensure that all information on the electronic confirmations are correct and to have appropriate and valid travel documents (including but not limited to a valid passport and visa) to travel to the selected destination. Once confirmed, the trip is non-refundable and non-transferable and no modifications are permitted. At check-in, passengers must provide electronic ticket documents and proof of ID / passport with photo and all documents required for international travel (to the extent applicable).
It is the responsibility of the winner to lodge and submit all relevant documents in the set timeframes. Passports must be valid for at least 6 months from the travel date
Annique Rooibos total liability under this competition will never exceed the Budget.

Publicity

By entering and participating in the Competition, participants agree and hereby consent thereto that Annique Rooibos may use the winner’s name and/or image for promotional purposes, subject to compliance with POPIA (Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013).

Processing of Your Personal Information

24.1

In accordance with section 18 of the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (“POPIA“) you as participant are hereby expressly informed that by submitting your entry into the Competition you are providing Annique Rooibos with your personal information and that, by doing so and in terms of section 11 of POPIA, you hereby voluntarily and expressly consent to Annique Rooibos processing your personal information for the following purposes:

24.1.1

to provide or manage any information, products and/or services requested by you pursuant to your engagement with Annique Rooibos;

24.1.2

to establish your needs, requirements, and preferences in relation to the products and/or services provided by Annique Rooibos;

24.1.3

to allocate a unique identifier to you for the purpose of securely storing, retaining and recalling your personal information from time to time, regardless of whether you conclude an agreement with Annique Rooibos;

24.1.4

for general administration purposes pertaining to your participation in the Competition including sharing of your personal information with Travkor (where and if required);

24.1.5

to improve the quality of Annique Rooibos’s products and services;

24.1.6

to analyse your personal information collected for research and statistical purposes;

24.1.7

to transfer your personal information across the borders of South Africa to other jurisdictions should it be required in the legitimate pursuit of Annique Rooibos’s business requirements;

24.1.8

to identify products and services which might be of interest to you, as well as to inform you of such products and/or services by means of direct marketing; and

24.1.9

to contact you in the event that you are declared the winner of the Competition.

24.2

Annique Rooibos will only process your personal information in a manner consistent with the provisions of its Privacy Policy as well as for the purposes set out in these terms and conditions.

24.3

You are further informed of your right to object to the processing of your personal information, however, should you so object you hereby acknowledge that your participation in the Competition will be cancelled, as the processing of your personal information as set out herein is a mandatory requirement for your participation in the Competition.

24.4

Annique Rooibos will not process your personal information for purposes of direct marketing as envisaged in terms of section 69 of POPIA. However, should you indicate at any point during your interactions with Annique Rooibos that you consent to direct marketing from Annique Rooibos, you are entitled to withdraw such consent at any later stage and such a withdrawal of consent shall not have any effect on your participation in the Competition.

Disqualification:

Annique Rooibos reserves the right to disqualify any entrant who provides false information, submits incomplete entries, or fails to comply with these terms and conditions.
If a participant fails to comply with any of the terms and conditions, then without prejudice to any other remedy which Annique Rooibos may have, the participant will:
- Be automatically disqualified and will forfeit the prize/s (in the event that the participant has already won the prize) and
- Will pay Annique Rooibos for any loss or damage incurred by us directly or indirectly because of non-compliance, including all of Annique Rooibos’ legal costs (including attorney fees and own client costs) which Annique Rooibos may incur in taking steps pursuant to the participant’s non-compliance for which purpose the participant hereby indemnifies and agrees to hold Annique Rooibos harmless.

Liability:

Annique Rooibos is not liable for any entries lost, delayed, misdirected, or incomplete due to technical issues.
Annique Rooibos is not responsible for any injury, damage, or loss sustained through participation in the Competition or during the prize experience.
Participation in the Competition, on the acceptance and/or use of the prize, or any aspect thereof, is at the participant's own risk.

Modification and Cancellation:

Annique Rooibos reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions, amend or cancel the Competition for any reason whatsoever and without notice to participants.

System Failure:

Annique Rooibos shall not be responsible for lost, delayed, misdirected, internet or computer malfunctions, errors in transmission or any condition beyond the control of Annique Rooibos which may cause the Competition to be disrupted or corrupted.
